You are so right Peter. In fact this afternoon I got off the train from Folkestone at Dover Priory at 13:25, and who should step out of the next carriage in front of me? Ed Milliband with his PA. I walked right behind him across the platforms and watched as he descended the steps to a crowd of cheery sycophants in ties.

I got caught on camera looking thoroughly shifty directly behind him at the station and will probably pop up in the news, dammit.

    He looked thorougly miserable.

I was more miserable than him though as the security disruption to the train service caused me to miss my dental appointment in Deal to have my wisdom tooth sorted. That's £7.50 train fare down the drain and probably a charge for a cancellation too. I'll now have to rebook and get time off work to attend another appointment.

Ed Milliband has probably cost me £25 today and a week of extra pain via his State Visit through no fault of my own.

Shame there were no ticket inspectors on duty, that would have been a good photo opportunity.
