Even as a Councillor I have written to DDC and Portfolio Holders and never had the courtesy of a reply. Either they don't know what to do, or don't care.
There will be millions spent on Dover in the next 2/3 years, but parts of it will still resemble a tip/skip if nothing is done. We have 3/4 of a million pounds being spent (not DDC money I hasten to add) on walking/cycling paths along the Dour, but what is the point of it all if the river still looks (in places) like a sewerage works ?
The river should have been made a major feature of the Town and a warden post created; the cleanest parts are where no one can see, where the EA have had no influence on planting.
