Well having got back(noting mine was the only post) i will try to give an unbiased report.
with a crowd of just 284 (how do they survive)? the crowd wasnt going to be vocal.
Staines started strongly and certainly were well worth there 1-0 lead after 15 minutes added to later in the half to make it 2-0
Dover also had chances but certainly staines in the first half could have had a number of goals with better finishing.
Dover had little to lose and came out strong in the second half what looked like a good goal, the ref spotted the Dover player had handled just before it went in(with the keeper beaten) and the goal disallowed and dover player booked.
Dover had a number of chances, and staines had to rely on breakaways for sometime during the second half.
Dover did then pull one back after sustained pressure on the staines goal,
Not usually one to be critical of the officials, the 3officials didnt appear to be communicating, and certainly some decisions were being missed
A crunching tackle by the Dover player just by the dug out was worthy of a red card(luckily only got a yellow)
which had the officials of both clubs having a go at the referee, and continued with the lino for some time as play went on.
Earlier in the second half Dover had, what looked like a clear cut penalty turned down but later in the game Dover did get a penalty and the equaliser when brought down in the box, quite fortunate to get that one, as it was less clear cut than the one turned down earlier.
In the end Dover had Staines pegged back, and had many chances to get all 3 points
FINAL SCORE;
STAINES 2 DOVER 2
