    people have to engage with democracy by taking the initiative.

    there are articles in the local press about election candidates, notices outside town and district council offices.
    i agree that a lot of councillors do like to keep it as a private members thing, it is up to us to take control.


    just as an example, people around my locality want a one way system.

    questionnaires were put through well over 200 doors a few years back asking people their opinion, about 5 were returned.
