Mark,
The Dover branch of the Royal Society of St George (patron HM The Queen) attended the Zeebrugge ceremony at St James's cemetery (details on that thread) and various hostelries afterwards, and many local pubs had events on throughout the day.
We would usually follow this with a church service at St Mary in Castro on the first Sunday following the 23rd, and afterwards a Sunday lunch of roast beef, but as this year it clashes with Easter Sunday and other events it will now be on 8th May. All are welcome for the 10am service and entrance to the castle is free for attendants.
Email me (or anyone else) if you would like details of the lunch or membership (just £15pa and we raise money for local charities with our events)
