  These flowers come up every year around this time at the front of flats opposite the Captain Webb development in the Folkestone Road but nobody seems to know what they are. There are signs asking the gardening contractor avoid mowing the parts where they are.

  They look like violets to me Brian....there are loads in bloom in gardens and along the lanes in Sussex at the moment.
