Spring seems to have gone on hold for the moment Howard..the beaches cold and empty. However today on high I caught a glimpse of yet more scaffolding...on the...gosh what is it called? To my knowledge anyway, this thing has never been lit. Maybe an exception is being made for the Olympic Games and the arrival of the Torch. Would love to see the thing used occasionally, otherwise whats it for.
The second picture shows its location in the Castle grounds and near the Church. But two men as you can see are giving it a good going over, sprucing it up, maybe getting it ready to light a flame.
