As preparation for the England match I decided to forgo my normal practice of adorning my neck with the flag of the Cross of Saint George and downing 10 pints of cheap lager, and instead took a morning walk in the colours and sounds of good old England. Some poppies in there, viper's bugloss and samphire, maybe field scabious. Not sure of the others. But you'll have to go yourselves to hear the yellowhammers, whitethroats, skylarks and chiffchaffs, or see the buzzards.
Bugger that, though, back to lager for the Belgium match.
