  These pictures are from early this morning. The sun has begun to rise around the far side of the headland now. From my position here..in the winter the great golden orb rises above Calais. As the seasons meander along, the sunrise moves inch by inch metre by metre to the east, just like the hands of a clock, until its out of view just behind the headland...the famous white cliffs.
