all go today at the st mary's church of england primary school sports day
some challenges were more cerebral.
others simply fun.
some triumphalism from a goal scorer.
a competitor getting a bit of coaching from his mum.

i was always a great athlete john, once won a packet of refreshers for coming second in the egg and spoon race.
