    IT's a little sad you have decided to slag off the role of the P.CS.O

    You will recall i did put up a full and fruitful list of the powers and role of the P.C.S.O. and i believe the role plays a vital part of policing in kent and across the country.

    for a reminder the powers are;
    1; issue fixed penalty notices for a range of anti social behaviour including,
    littering, graffiti, and riding on footpaths

    2; confiscate alcohol and ciggys from youn people

    3; deal with abandoned vehicles

    4; stop vehicles for road checks under police and criminal acts

    5; enforce police cordons under terrorism and stop and search legislation

    of course the role takes in much more, bringing communities together
    a very difficult role and one quite different to a police officer and always should be.

    i hope that those that diss the role should maybe look into the role and how it has made a difference to so many communities across the UK
