Spitfire at weekend

  last friday saturday and sunday , we had the spitfire over dover and capel with 2 helicopters now and again
  guess they were filming
  but any other reason ? anniversary the last weekend of july of the war ?

  Yes the same as lots of weekends this year - pleasure flights in conjunction with Wallets Court at St Margarets - you get to go up in the choppers and fly around with the Spitfire

  Probably the Action Stations flights, for people to experience being in the air with a Spitfire.

  this is how it looked flying over my garden yesterday, i hasten to add that i did not take the shot.

  Blimey - thats a good one there Paul! Hugely difficult to get all three flying machines in the one shot, it shows how close they fly to each other. Gosh you can see the pilot. Excellent. I like the other pic too. They always seems way too high when they go over me, so very tricky.

  According to the site mentioned by Paul, it will be in the air again on 14th, 15th and 16th September, sadly not exactly a cheap flight.
