I truly hope that none of you need it but as a trustee of the local Citizens Advice Bureau here's a link to their page on debt if you need it :-

Already CAB are getting the post Christmas calls from clients who thought a truly Dickensian Christmas meant emulating Micawber rather than the Cratchits.
Meanwhile Canterbury was absolutely rammed today with shoppers all apparently saving themselves a fortune in the sales!
My carer bought a tee shirt in M&S for £2, I bought a copy of Future Wars in Cities by Alice Hill for £4.99 in Oxfam and I used a voucher off t'Internet to get 40% off a meal in Cafe Rouge.
All my accounts are in the black and I don't owe anyone a penny. When the crash comes, as it inevitably will, I don't plan to be involved.
Some people seem to think that history doesn't repeat itself, one particularly idiotic PM even claimed to have ended boom and bust.
If Capt Haddock doesn't owe a penny he's in a tiny minority, even the slightest rise in interest rates will be disastrous for most families.
