I have not been home long.I attended the Service at Dover as you can see from Howard's photos.Went on to Sandwich for 10.50am where a service was held at the Towns Memorial. Most people layed white lilies. We then moved on to other churches in the town ,once again laying lilies. The last full service was held in St Clements.I arrived back home around 2.30pm .at 5 .30pm left for a service over at Walmer organised by The Downs Branch of The British Legion.
The Town Mayors of Dover and Deal also spent time going to different services. In all your Civic Leaders have spent Four hectic days ,however it's nothing compared to the sacrifices that were made so we might be free.
I read on other forums moans and groans but I thought these last few days was about bringing peace .so never again would our Country see such terrible needless lose of life.
Even today in Dover people were walking passed ignoring the two minutes silence.
I'm very tired but I wanted to share with you that some Councillors do care .
