I saw it too, Paul. It was very sad, the way the poor place has been forced to apologetically sell itself. Used to be lovely years ago, when it was the Holiday Inn, with the Dover Stage over the road and the Britannia and Ristorante Al Porto buzzing a bit further along, near the UNESCO World Heritage Site Dover regeneration hoardings.

The hotel and the Light of India deserve better than to be left in limbo on the fuel-choked DTIZ-skirting Highway to Hell that is DHB Townwall Freeway.

May friendly JCBs rain down on Burlington House etc (apologies to Betjeman).

    Forza Dubris!

    Andy
