  I think "gusts of 40mph" might be a significant underestimate. Stay safe folks.

  Agreed, especially as the Met Office give gusts up to 58, another day of apprehension watching the crane's jib swinging around over the houses in the area. I feel sorry for those who will be at work in the open air.
