  Here I am, looking for a nice non political topic to start. . Deal yesterday, a glorious warm sunny day, and a touch of Dover plantation`s. Are we twinned with Deal?

  Big difference, like River or Whitfield not being Dover.

  Walmer ,effectively starts at Deal Castle on the seaward side as you head towards Dover. Not hard to be confused, Colin. The Bandstand and former Royal Marine's Barracks are all in Walmer.

  It's all beautiful, whatever its name! The coast is somehow more radiant along there - same as Kingsdown, where it always seems just a bit magical.

  i get confused as to where walmer ends and deal starts.
  
  no problem with the outlying villages of river and whitfield though.

  I can`t say Howard I`ve ever seen a sign saying you are now entering Deal. I`ve seen the Walmer signpost. Have to keep an eye open next time I`m that way, though someone on here maybe able to enlighten us.
