Ha! Slightly off the main topic here but As I read this post it brought my mind back to an event to last night. It was about 18:00 And I happened upon a group of French people in a car very lost near the western docks. They were early for their ferry and looking for the town centre 'for something to do'. As I had a vehicle I told them to follow me and took them to Stembrook car park. I then pulled away immediately regretting taking them there as what a dissapointment they must have found! I can honestly say I am embarrassed for our town centre when it comes to tourists. It has so much potential but nothing going for it. As I've said before we have three great sites in Dover; the seafront, castle and White cliffs experience (which I see is free parking now). But where is the link between the three? Especially between the castle an cliffs, no safe walking route, simply unexceptable.
