Well yeah, why not put in a view here! For me, the big market at the doorstep is London at the doorstep of Kent, and we in Kent should compete all the more with imported fruit and vegetables that we can produce here. But, as is generally known on the Forum, I am for local economic autonomy at County level, and that we promote agricultural and industrial employment among our own people, which is decisively a crime in terms of EU laws.
However, I am in favour of European countries also prospering, and having good and sincere relations with them. But may I point out that, in Europe, people actually call themselves by the name of their own people, i.e. French, Dutch, Germans, Spannish... and donm't say: 'I live in Europe'!
How the ever-increasing debts of just about every EU state can be considered a factor in support of the EU economic system, does really go beyond me. Also, the enormous rate of unemployment and increasing poverty all over the EU is allarming.
But I am NOT and never have been, nor ever will be anti-European, such as being anti the French or anti the others. The reason why I don't like the EU is because it makes so many people suffer here and in many European countries, takes away Democracy and national Sovereignty, puts almost almighty power in the hands of a few people, and uses an emblem that comes from the Book of Revelations and does not belong on the head of any mortal person!
