Probably not the cleverest or politically correct thing to say on national TV, but it will be a sad day when everybody has to micro-manage every single off the cuff remark. I don`t personally think much of the woman and it`s obvious that she and Mr Farrage do not particularly care much for each other either, but no big harm done as far as UKIP are concerned. I would guess that the conservatives will not appreciate politically what she said, UKIP will be pleased, but most people won`t be too bothered one way or the other. Although there would have been an uproar of course if poor old Godfrey Bloom had uttered something similar!

the more i think about it the statement was quite extraordinary, i hadn't heard of ms soubry before today but she is a government minister.
m.p's are expected to come out with attention seeking stuff.
nigel farage clearly missed a trick here and should have jumped in with something along the lines of "typical blues full of fruit cakes"
