The post you are reporting:
SID;
I fell for nothing but sadly I have seen in my days on county/District there are many from all parties that believe women should not be in politics, and so it can be uphill for some women to get on in politics.
That said when labour was ADVISING this all these years ago the tories at that time were on TV saying they are doing the same. so barryw keep up to date mate.
I do not, and never will agree to anyone being imposed, and I recall a women at a labour meeting actually saying to some of those proposing this that they are doing little to forward the womens cause by imposing.(not quite as nicely put as that lol)
Im clear on this one, any labour person imposed on me I will not vote for!!
if they go through the selection process then fair enough, but it has to be an open one, not just for women!!!!
Some of the wheeling and dealing being done at the time of the KCC elections wow
It's not something i compromise on, and wouldn't!!!!
It did become difficult for me as i was one they wanted out,
but for the wrong reasons, If a good candidate(man or woman ) had come along at that time I would have happily stepped aside, in fact I would have helped them in whatever way I could!!!
It was funny cos they only chose the 2 Dover seats, unaffected were the ones making the decisions!!!!
when i suggested what about one Deal and one Dover, no chance!!!!
funny that
by the way i was only testing them out I wouldnt have agreed to that either!!!!
its no to imposing full stop!!!!
