  I didn't think they were trying to privatise it through the back door; I understood they were standing at the front door and doing it, not hiding that fact by hiding round the back.
  
  Modernisation is what the Royal Mail needs; many other European countries have already done so and are more efficient, by not modernising here, makes it much more expensive, so service is often impacted.
