    Barry royal mail has to provide a one price service to all addresses in the UK,Unfortunately politicians have encouraged partial privatisation called direct access which means companies can collect company mail deliver the local mail then pump the rest into royal mail to deal with at a price set by the regulator thus losing 5 pence an item.There is no company that can provide the service nationwide at one price. Managers are now all yes men because they have to be. Other companies mail also has to take priority. The only way forward is to stop trying to privatise it through the back door.
