  Ed Miliband's real test comes at the next round of council elections, Labour do badly and there will be calls for him to go and questions about his legitimacy given the split of votes in his victory as leader, do well and the party faithful and MPs will anoint him.
  
  As BarryW kept reminding all and sundry in the run up to the general election the only valid polls are the ones where the people put a mark on a bit of paper - in the meantime take the opinion polls with a big pinch of salt
