  I was a member of a union though not paying the political levy at the time of the last deputy leadership election but still got sent a voting form - happily sent it back voting for the most left wing candidate. I have read press reports that this may have happenend with a lot of non levy paying union members this time around, wonder if it might have affected the result?
  
  There will be interesting times ahead with the intense press scrutiny he will now come under as leader, not married, not registered as a father, not having a financial interest in his family home for starters.
