  Last night my son was on a works birthday party.The lads met up at 6pm played Fifa at the birthday boys home before going to town. As they approached a night club they were set upon........by the police who arrested one of his tech computer nerd colleagues and friend. He was handcuffed and bundled into a meat wagon.The group asked what is was all about,the police said he was on cctv earlier that evening fighting elsewhere in St Helier..They said it must be a case of mistaken identity as he had been with them all night. They refused to listen and regrettably my son who has inherited his Dads sense of fair play if not his diplomacy argued the lads case but as he stands well over 6ft and 16stone he was met with short shrift and told to ''go home''. Which he did.The poor lad spent the night in chokey.
  
  All these lads have good jobs,intelligent (a bit daft at times) don't take drugs and smartly dressed yet the evening was spoiled by officers who failed to listen to reason. No side being taken but I am merely reporting what happened last night.
