This subject has come up before on the forum and the law is very vague on the matter of individual responsibility for snow clearing. As things stand if someone falls and injures themselves outside your home and their has been no attempt by the resident to clear the snow and ice then there is no law breaking but if the resident clears and grits but someone still falls and injures themselves then the resident can be sued.

A Government when asked whether we should clear our frontage said that we should use our common sense!!
