Scotland is in UK also known as Great Britain and they usually get snow around that time of year, as you say Howard a non story.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Our cavity insulation is done and the loft being done in a week's time- at least it has meant everything in the loft has had to be taken out - sorted - and a lot discarded !!
We are told it should save £300 a year on heating bills.

sounds rather a lot of savings kath, with those figures how long will it take for the work to pay for itself?

Howard - the £300 we will hopefully save will not go towards the cost of the insulation - we have got that free under the Government scheme as we are now over 70. Excellent !!
And the cavity walls done too, free. It will be a big saving in the cold weather.
