Yes huge traffic jams for several hours now. A 19 mile tailback on the M25 has held everything up and now chaos everywhere on the major south east roads. M25 closed for quite a number of hours while they resurface it in an emergency. We are suffering now from the overflow it seems. tailback trying to get into Docks....both lanes.

I had to go to Fort Burgoyne earlier. No traffic was being allowed past the bottom of Coombe valley Road. Light vehicles were being diverted along CVR and HGV's down Cherry Tree, beyond that there were no other signs so I've no idea where they could go other than back down the town.
I dare say the waterworks between Coombe Valley and St Radigunds Road hit something. I'll go that way with the dog soon.

You understand what I mean about a Motorway though Dover
When it is like this you cannot reach your house in Snargate Street etc...

I had no problem with the works up London Road,I was showing a lovely young nurse the way to the Hospital,so I pushed my bike,I would like to think it as being helpful to our visitors but watch what Howard makes of it.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I heard there was a burst water main in the area that Sue describes, how true that is I do not know. Why a problem up that part of town would affect the Snargate area beats me as we do not see many HGV vehicles going through the town.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

There is restricted access to the Eastern Docks with one lane closed, that no doubt is the cause of the Snargate Street queues.

Normality, such as it is, has returned to London Road.
