I don't know about any other forumite but one of my great fears as a kid was using our outside loo, being sat their reading a snippet of newspaper that had been torn into squares and forever fearful of a snake coming up through the loo. Roberta Vaituke, 10, who was stunned to find a 5ft corn snake lurking in the bathroom.
Her family say the only way the hissing reptile could have slithered into the room is through sewage pipes and the toilet bowl.
Roberta saw the animal against the wall as she popped in to use the loo and was paralysed by terror. She said: "I just lost all words and stood completely frozen for ages when I realised it was a snake. "I didn't move for a minute then I ran into the living room and hid on the sofa.
