Police are investigating after jewellery was snatched from the smashed front window of a store in Deal yesterday.
Two people on a motorcycle, believed to be men, stopped outside Ward and Corrigan in the High Street at about 4.30pm. Witnesses report that both had full-face helmets on. One of the men is understood to have smashed part of the front window with a hammer before grabbing jewellery from the display and jumping back on the bike, which was ridden off in the Sandwich direction.
The bike was blue and is believed to have been a Yamaha model and detectives are appealing for any information and anyone who may have seen the bike being ridden.
CCTV from surrounding businesses is being studied and police are going through information from witnesses as the burglary was seen by a number of people.
