    Yes I believe there was. We will probably see more of this kind of crime as finance levels get ever more desperate in society. We have seen a huge upsurge in metal thefts, even crime against war memorials where metals of all kinds are taken. I even saw an item in France where someone stole the entire bronze statue from a war memorial in the centre of a local town. Disgraceful.

    However new measures have been introduced now where scrap yards have to account for their metals. Not too up to speed on the full details of this, but it seems a good move. No more under the counter payments with no questions asked.

    But back to the smash n grab...anything like this must be fairly horrifying to onlookers, fortunately though this time nobody was injured but the potential is there for same...especially when criminals get ever more desperate.
