Detectives investigating a smash and grab at a jewellers in Deal High Street yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 18 January 2012, have arrested four people.
Police were called to the shop at 4.51pm after a report that two men on a motorbike had pulled up outside, used a hammer to smash the window and grabbed a handful of diamond rings before making off.
Today, Thursday 19 January 2012, police arrested a 21-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 30-year-old man on suspicion of burglary. A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. All four are from the Dover area and are currently in police custody.
