  Free off-street car parking too on Small Business Saturday (7 December), so a good opportunity to shop local and support the town's independent traders.

  I agree, I always try and use local independent shops, as long as the quality is up to scratch of course.
  I don't like to knock supermarkets because they are a great convenience, especially when I have to work late, but I really don't like using them, they aren't a nice environment for me.
  Nice to see the free parking too, pity they couldn't do a promotion like this every month or so.
