Pictured above, is Jackie Cobell who holds the record for the slowest channel crossing swim, and doing the time honoured ritual of signing her name on `The White Horse Inn` wall. She took 28 hours and 44 minute`s between 24/25 July this year, and swam in a zig zag formation, which Jeanette had a diagram of from somewhere. She comes from Tonbridge, and came in with her husband yesterday afternoon. A very pleasant and bubbly lady. Another good reason for keeping this cross channel swimming event going.
