  Trouble is that no-one is held accountable for their actions these days. In the old days the local bobby would have had a word and if the guilty party was a young person would be grabbed by the ear and taken home, where no doubt he\she would be given a thick ear by their parents to add to their woes. Nowadays it is more than a policeman's career is worth to lay so much as a finger on anyone and parents are not allowed to smack their children. I know we cannot allow abuse but I certainly remember that I never again repeated the action that had merited a smack!
