  I noted this morning the ex-car rental place at the bottom of Castle Hill had an army of builder`s at work rendering etc. I think someone mentioned on here a while back what this new business was going to be? Anyway, a great improvement on the derelict looking site it was becoming. Looking at it, those dwellings in the rear would look quite attractive with some gardens at the front.
  Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

  colin,i notised that on monday afternoon on one of my rare walks down that way but didnt see any workmen there at the time.mind you it has smatend the place up a bit.

  I think those dwellings might be quite posh. The one on the right used to be the Conservative Club and was purchased by Bob Adams, the printer, fifteen or so years ago. I was still footloose and fancyfree in those days and remember feeling a bit miffed one night in the White Horse when Bob tempted all the tasty birds in the bar over the road to look at his new pad.

  i feel sure that someone on here posted what was going to open there a long way back.

  Great New location for CMW Rental, they are tucked behind the Royal Mail Delivery Office in Granville Street at present. I wish them all the best
