  The timing of the whole thing is bound to loom large in the considerations. Not so much who, but when. There is very little doubt that senior figures within the 'establishment' are both implicated in and culpable of child abuse connected in some way or another with the JS affair.
  Whether such people are thrown to the wolves, or given some protection while other lesser being are dealt with, leaves Dave with a sticky problem in the run-up to a General Election.
  
  The right thing to do, in my own opinion, would be to go for it - warts and all. Better to sicken than to leave the least taint in the mouths of the Electorate. "Out damned spot!"
