  I see the lynch mob has started: a plaque on the wall of a block of flats in Scarborough where Jimmy Saville used to live has been removed after 'paedophile' and 'rapist' were daubed on it. I feel that this may be just the start of it and that even his headstone may be desecrated.
  
  I don't go along with mob rule; even if he was guilty of all the allegations made against him, Jimmy Saville raised millions for charity and although goes no way to excusing paedophilia, it does show that he was a caring human being. There is much to be gained from letting sleeping dogs lie. This may be an ideal, but I hope people will take all sides of his character into consideration when judging him before destroying anything associated with him.
