Was delivering leaflets earlier and the usual amusing hand written sometimes poorly written ones were present. My all time favourite is "no junk mail", they must expect the postie to open all their letters so that he can decide which is acceptable to the householder. One house had about 20 don't posts the best one was "No political leaflets other than UKIP". The one that surprised me was " I only accept parcels addressed to this house", glad I don't live next door to such a miserable, anti-social sod.

With regard to your parcels post comment. I used to take parcels for those living near me but some of the recipients did not bother to thank me so I now only take those of my immediate neighbours.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

A few years ago some people rented a house across the street, a parcel for them was delivered to me and I signed for it, I took it over when they were home, they said thanks etc.
About a week later the parcel man accused me of stealing their parcel! as they had made a claim for it, he was politely told that in future if the parcel isn't addressed to me then don't bring it to my door :)
