    Am just looking at the opening part of Vince Cables speech at conference. He is going down very well with the party faithful.

    The interesting thing that has emerged about his speech, it has been vetted and passed by Downing St itself. So nothing radical from Vince in that way, but here's the thing...are Downing Street setting him up as the fall guy, are the Conservatives playing a darker game, in that Vince will be seen as the nasty anti banker? while the Tories sit in the wings allowing Vince to take the flak as he delivers the message that they want delivered. Vince is therefore just the messenger...and we all know what you mustnt do to the messenger...you mustnt shoot him! Nor must you sack him, nor is it likely that he will be sacked as he seems to be dancing to the Downing St Conservative tune.

    "Capitalism takes no prisoners and kills competition when it can" says Vince.
