Good to see the shops doing well, but is it short term, the figures for the Christmas period will be interesting when they come out, already big knock down sale prices on everything so how that relates to profit we will have to wait and see. I had a look at the M&S website to see if there were any bargains to be had in gentlemen's atire...no, everything was sold out. So there is definitely widespread spending going on, as indeed we see on our TVs.
Interesting to see the people in Howards link. All from the far East, the new economic power world, where they dont have a recession at all...plenty of money there.

what got me paul is that most of them were students and buying up designer labels in bulk.
one young girl was parting with £ 440 for a "bargain" pair of shoes, lucky they have the money - keeps our shop staff employed.
