Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a sudden increase in prices. Our shopping bill has gone up by around a tenner each week and almost everything in the supermarket seems to increase a little more each week.I,m well aware of brexit and the falling value of the £1 having an effect but its really beginning to notice now.

expect higher prices along with higher inflation for starters, but mind you the price of petrol has droped by 2p.

The drop in the value of sterling didn't help but much of what we buy is grown or produced here. I think that manufacturers and supermarkets have seized an opportunity to try it on.

FWIW groundwork started today for the Lidl at Whitfield.

As they say in their TV advert '
LIDL - not just for poor people'.

(Though I did hear someone answering their 'phone in Lidl at Hawkinge claiming they were actually in Waitrose at Hythe)
