  the british retail consortium has issued figures that show nicking from shops has risen from £99 million last year to £137 million thsi year. this works out at approx £400,000 per day. interestingly there has been a drop in the number of incidents of 11%, people now are liberating more expensive items.
  
  i would have thought it was practically impossible to get away with it nowadays with security tags, more security staff and lots more stuff under lock and key.
