Word has it that a shop selling, ahem, smoking requisites has opened in the former Lant & Marshalls in the High Street. Do I need to add any more? The owners have clearly done their market research.

Reminds me that the old Cancer Research charity shop was previously a tobacconists.

Saw them in action next to toilets at Ladywell yesterday.
These were snorters & joined by young girls later.
Interestingly the teams who did the raids in Folkestone Rd just passed them by on their return at the end of that Operation.
Had a good couple of hours people watching. Amazing what & who you see.

Where were you people watching from?! I love it in Aminas - lots of colourful people and a relaxed atmosphere (mostly!!) and always the opportunity to jot down some dialogue!

Phil
I am considering suing the Cancer Research shop under trade descriptions. I've been in loads of time and I have never seen any cancer research going on.

Don't mean to be rude to you all - sorry if it came over that way in the last posting.
However, don't you all find it so depressing?

I doubt if any of us find the shop amusing if it sells what we have been having a laugh about.
How can a shop sell these things so openly, I thought it was illegal or have I missed something.

I dont find it amusing, however I equally do not find it offensive. They are carrying out a perfectly legal trade selling smoking paraphernalia, the retailer cannot be held responsible for what people may then choose to do with it . From where I stand good luck to them with their enterprise.

it is quite common to see seeds and the equipment for sale in magazines with the rejoinder that it is not legal to germinate the seeds.
plenty of legal highs for sale at the moment too.
