I was in Paris on Sunday delivering to M&S in torrential rain.when the Champs Elyssis's resident tramp came towards me wearing nothing but 3/4 trousers and an old blanket. I offered him the sandals I wear in warmer climes and he accepted them. 10 minutes later he walked past minus the sandals, I later saw them in a rubbish bin. What does that say about my wardrobe?

What does that say about your sandals Ken you obviously needed some new ones, try buying some trendy up market ones.I don't know if you remember the tramp that used to be at Dover Priory Station for years, one of the superviors offered him some trousers once,he look at them and said no thanks wrong colour!
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

At least he could have had the decency to wait until Boxing Day, if they have such in France.
Christmas time is possibly the right time to give and to receive jumpers and woollens of all sorts, well maybe not quite all sorts, but often one person's ideal gift does not make it to it's ideal recipient.
And, now an opportunity has arisen for a new swanky pair of sandals to wing their way Tranter-wards. I hope your Aunties are looking in Ken.

Due to my advanced age all my aunties may be watching but not in a position to give presents, although I do have a mother and uncle who might take the hint.
John, I remember the lady tramp who I once gave some sandwiches to,she declined as she said she was vegetarian and the sandwiches weren't. Good job it wasn't me on the road to Damascus, the bloke would probably have told me to p*** off.

I wonder if that was the same barefoot tramp that passed the shop once, we offered him shoes but they were refused, he obviously preferred his feet unshod.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I hope they were not Crocs Ken - considered terribly unfashionable in Paris!
