Well they sure lost some money there, but in reality its only paper money. Or the losses are only on paper as one assumes the share situation will recover, it always does one way of another over time..and these rich geezers will know this very well. They didnt get where they are today etc etc
The only people who would lose or could lose would be smaller shareholders who for some inexplicable reason had to cash in their shares today...say to fund a holiday or a hospital operation or something. Or perhaps another scenario would be a share related investement fund reaching maturity next week, that would be hit and much of its gains could be wiped away, because there is not enough time in the equasion there to allow shares the time to recover.
