Ah. Cricket in Dover is sadly dead. No Dover Cc, not a single club side playing in the town, although Cosmos and River CCs are still going. Go into Sports Direct and look at the cricket section - derisory
When I have a game in the garden with my nephew I wonder if we are the only people anywhere in the town putting bat to ball all weekend.
For that matter - I saw zero games of tennis going on but some boys kicking a ball around on a court DURING WIMBLEDON at Russell Gardens.
And where is the municipal golf course? Not even a single putting course in town AFAIK.
If people play sport at all it is likely to be football, all year round.
