Karlos, Thanks for the update, when I last checked the graves they were all in fairly good condition, except for Traynor and Ward, Traynor has been sorted but Private Ward, 79th Regiment of foot, remains barely readable, if indeed he lies there and not, as recorded, in Malvern!
QuarterMaster C Wooden is one of my favorites, he might well be of German birth, and he won his VC at the charge of the Light Brigade, he died in Dover after haveing used his service revolver to cure his tooth ache......yes, he shot his teeth out!
