They are 'only' doing patient transport NOT providing paramedics or 'trucks', a lot of of which would be unnecessary if only we had a half decent public transport system in the UK.
As long as we continue worshiping at the Cult of the Car and spending our money on yet more 'necessary' parking spaces rather than actually realising that the purpose of a 'transport policy' is to actually transport people around rather than store their silly status symbols for the 95%+ of the time they are not being used we can expect more of this.
